WCBA and MACRMI to co-host
Communication, Apology, and Resolution (CARe) Forum
The Massachusetts Alliance for Communication and Resolution Following Medical Injury (MACRMI) and the Worcester County Bar Association (WCBA) will be hosting an Educational Forum regarding Communication, Apology, and Resolution (CARe) on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Worcester Registry of Deeds in the Commonwealth Room, 90 Front St, Worcester, MA, 01608.
We invite you to participate in this interactive session to learn about the benefits of the CARe Program for you and your clients. It improves communication and transparency for patients when serious adverse medical events occur, and provides them with a timely and fair resolution while improving patient safety. This will be an opportunity to get information about how the program works in Massachusetts, hear from attorneys that have participated in the process, and have your questions answered by a panel of experts on the topic. Speakers include Jeffrey Catalano, Esq., Todd & Weld, LLP; Kevin Giordano, Esq., Keyes and Donnellan, P.C.; Evan Benjamin, M.D., F.A.C.E.P., Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Baystate Health; Alan Woodward, M.D., Chair of the Committee on Professional Liability, Massachusetts Medical Society; Melinda Van Niel, MBA, CPHRM, Program Manager of the Massachusetts Alliance for Communication and Resolution following Medical Injury.
